Installation Overview & Guidelines

Wheel spacers are a safe modification for your vehicle as long as you use quality parts and install them properly. Always monitor your vehicle for any irregularities (vibrations, odd noises, or wheel wobble) after installation.

Important: Re-torque lug bolts after 100 miles of driving to ensure they remain properly tightened.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Loosen All Bolts

Make sure each of the lug bolts is loosened before you lift the car. You need the resistance of the tire against the ground to get enough torque to break the lugs loose. Otherwise, the wheel will spin once lifted.

Step 2: Lift Car

Safely lift the vehicle using a shop lift, or a hydraulic jack with a sturdy set of jack stands.


Step 3: Remove Wheel & Tire

Carefully remove the wheels, taking care not to hit or damage the braking components. Set the wheel to the side.

Step 4: Clean Surface Area

Ensure the hub mating surface is clean and smooth so the wheel spacer sits entirely flat. Clean off any rust, dirt, or corrosion.


Step 5: Align Wheel Spacer in Place

Remove the factory Phillips-head screws (these may be tight or difficult to remove). Position the spacer on the hub, replace with the supplied longer screws, and apply anti-seize.


Step 6: Reinstall Wheel & Torque Lugs

Secure and hand-tighten the supplied lug nuts before torquing. Ensure you are using the correct lug bolts for front vs. rear applications. Tighten in a star pattern to distribute load evenly, torquing to 170 N·m (125 lb ft).


Step 7: Lower Car & Test Drive

Carefully lower the car back to the ground. Installation is complete. Take a brief test drive to check for any vibrations, unusual noises, or wheel wobble.
